A mothers day card

Hello all just finsihed this card today it is for my sisters and brothers to give to my mum tomorrow for mothers day. Picture is not what you would expect for a mothers day card but trust me she will like this one :)

I followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this one and used the new papers I bought from quixotic Paperie at the weekend :) the sentiment is computer generated and the image is hand coloured with copic markers.

As you can see from this picture the inside is also decorated to mach I love these papers

This is a close up of the image - I received this in a swap so I am not sure who it is by but if any one knows please let me know as I would like some more like this one they are brilliant.

A recipe book

Hello ladies I hope you are all well. I have been busy today making a little recipe bok for my new E-Shop on facebook, I wanted to try and get some bits up for mothers day and thought this would be perfect. I used the sketch on Friday sketchers for this one I hope you like it. I bound this myself using my bind it all and the image is of course a magnolia image which I couloured using my copic markers.

This is the front of the book the papers are by K&Co I have had them for so long i can't remember which pack they are from so if you know please can you let me know so I can buy some more :)

This is the first of the inside pages they all look very similar just with different papers this is the cover for the starter section.

This is the view from the side I made it strong enough to be able to stand on it's own that way when you have the recipe you want to use you can have it open on that page.

A notebook for a friend

Hello, I thought i would show you a notebook I made for my friend Laura for her birthday. I got her a cup that said office goddess on so I thought I would take a picture to match. I have followed the sketch on Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog and have also used one of her images, I love these images they are great fun to work with;

I made this note book from scratch using some thick card board which i covered on both sides to make the front and back covers and then I cut some line paper up to make the insides. I bound this all together using my bind it all. The image was coloured using copics and I used distress inks around the edge to make it not so white and in your face. I am really pleased with how this turned out. Just need to make one for me now :)

The Wedding

Hello all if there is anyone still there I thought I would show you what I have been busy with these are the rest of the bits I created for my brothers wedding;

This is the table plan - They had a wintery theme but also wanted some red as the bridesmaids dresses were red and so were the flowers. The blue card i bought pre embossed from my local garden centre i really wanted to do this myself to be honest but I couldn't find the correct colour card un embossed.

This is a view looking on to the top table - I made the Winter Wonderland sign and you can just about see the favour boxes I made here too. I do have a template and instructions for these as I made them with the Score pal but as there wasn't any instructions for making them using a standard UK size of A4 card I amended this to suit.

Here is a view of one of the tables you can see the favor boxes more here I will see if I can find a close up too

And last but not least these are the name cards I made - I did one of these for everyone and on the back they have each got their menu choice printed on as I know how easy it is to forget what you have ordered when you order it months in advance

So this along with the fact that I have been out running 3-4 nights a week has really eaten in to my time for crafting and to be honest it began to become more of a chore than fun so I took some time off. I am hoping to head off to your blogs now for some inspiration and to catch up with some of the bits I have missed (there is no way I will see everything) and then who knows I might make a card this evening.

Thank you for popping by xx

Some more Christmas for you :)

Good Evening all I hope you are all well. Just when I thought I was getting better my cold has come back with full force am feeling awful today. I thought I would cheer myself up and post a card I have made for Christmas, Christmas is one of my favourite times of year :)

This is a completely different type of card to the ones I usually make, the first thing you will probably notice is that I have NO COLOURING !! I know I never thought I would enjoy making this sort of card but I really did enjoy it and have made a few more which I will post over the next few weeks. I bought the card and die cuts for this at a stamp show at Alexandra Palace a while back. I am very impressed at the quality of the card and how far it has gone actually and will be buying more once I have been paid. You can find it Here.

A doggy Christmas

Good Evening ladies I hope you are all well. I have been poorly since Thursday last week and am only just now starting to feel a bit better :( I have been coughing so much the last few days my ribs are bruised - on the bright side I won't have to do any stomach exercises for the next few days haha.
I wanted to show you a card tonight that I made for my Christmas stash. It is using one of the Christmas stamps from the Lili of the valley Christmas stamp sheet.

I have coloured this little guy using my copic markers. The papers are from the Papermania classic Christmas collection. I have mounted three strips in silver miri card and red card. The ribbon is from my local craft store. I added some stickles on to the image to make the snow glittery :) I know snow isn't really glittery but what is a Christmas card without glitter.

A glittery Christmas

Evening all, I have been busy making christmas cards for a craft sale that I am doing this month. I really need to get more made. I particularly like this one. I made it using some glitter embossing powder that I saw being demonstrated at my local garden centres craft section. I plan on using it on a lot more cards as it is effective but also quick. Lets not mention the mess though :)

I love the glitter you cant see just how glittery it is in this picture I will have to see if I can get a few more made to show you x

night all xx

An 18th Birthday card and some BRILLIANT news

Hello everyone (if your still there) it's been a while but I have some excellent news I have been asked to join the 2cute design team so excited to start working with these images pop along here to see what the current DT are up to.

I have been making cards behind the scene and promise to be better at uploading them now :) Here is a card I made for a colleagues daughter for her 18th Birthday - he had looked around all of the shops and didn't like any of the ones he had seen. I have used an image from Sweet N Sassy stamps I think this image is perfect for the more grown up / teenager card
The paper is actually from a christmas paper pack but i thought it would go well with this card. I am not sure if you can see it in the picture but it is glittery too which I love. The ribbon was brought from my local craft shop and the sentiment computer generated.

Below is a close up of the image

This image has been coloured using copic markers as always. I am still trying to learn how to colour the folds in clothes with these but am gradually getting better. I have inked the edge of the image using distress inks and mounted it on to two tones of blue card.

A wedding anniversary card

Good Morning all, can you believe it, two posts in two days I haven't done this in a while :) It is my mum and dads 29th Wedding anniversary today and on Thursday my Dad asked me to make him a card to give to my mum. I wanted to do something special using one of the new Lili of the valley stamps I bought at Ally Pally.

I have never made a vintage style card before but I don't think this is too bad for a first attempt. To begin with I sat there for about 30 minutes wondering what on earth i could use as I didn't really want any pattern on the background. In the end i ended up cutting up one of the cats food boxes and distressing the edges then inking it with Tim Holtz old photo distress ink. I did the same with a small piece of Kraft that I had left over from when I went to Stephs make and take last year.
I coloured the image using copics - I think I need to get a few more colours for this sort of card so if anyone has any recommendations of colour groups that work well for this sort of colour please could you let me know :)
The sentiment is actually a sticker that I had from an old sentiment set that has been in my craftbox for years, I knew it would come in handy at some point. And the string was bought from a £1 store.
I made the little roses myself using the remainder of the Kraft card which I distressed and then added some stickles glitter glue to the edges.
