sneek peek Doodle palace image

Hello ladies hope you are well, Just the one card to show you today, have been a bit rubbish recently not been liking some if the cards I have made so kept them to myself but it will get better promise :) Here is a card I made using one of the new doodle palace images which will be released tommorrow.

I did follow a sketch for this card but I think I must have missed the deadline because I can't for the life of me find it now lol. I coloured the image with copics, I wanted to have a go at colouring the grass and sky, don't think it looks too bad, it does look a bit flat though so If anyone has any tips they would be more than appreciated :) The colours I used are shown below for any one who is interested. I am afraid I can't say who the papers are buy as I completley forgot to write it down before i cut them all up. The pink cardstock is from Simonsays stamp though, I whent there at the weekend and they were sooooo helpful and friendly I wish I had loads of money so I could go back and spend it all there, come on  lottery - ha-ha - Oh i tried out a new method on this card, I had a little go at distressing, never really done this before and I don't really have a proper distressing tool but i think it looks ok for a first try, what do you think?
Copics used are:
Bunny - C1,C5,C7
Wood - E35, E37, E29
Easter Egg and ears - RV02, RV04, RV06
Grass - YG67,YG63
Bird - E31,E35,BG01,BG09
Flowers - Y17,BV17,BV08

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Hi Amanda

I missed you by about half an hour Saturday, soon as I arrived Janice said yuo had not long left.

Your colouring looks great on this one and do loke the sape of those nesties.

You asked about creating sky etc., have you tried either chalking ? Just tear a piece of copies paper so it has peaks and dips, then dab chalk with some cotton wool just aboe the lines, then move the paper up/down and keep doing the same and you like the look of the colouds you have created.

You can also do the same technique using pigment or chalk inks (Tim Holt distress or chalk inks such as cats eyes or Hero) and a piece of makup sponge, but dab lightly up and down - you can always add more ink, but can't take it away.

Hope that helps.
