My Weekend

Good Afternoon Ladies I hope you are all well. Boy have I had a busy weekend I managed to sleep through my alarm on Saturday morning meaning I was late for the beginning of my craft class at SirStampalot I have never been as un organised as I have been this weekend honestly. Anway once I got there I was welcomed and really enjoyed the day, everyone was so friendly and I had so much fun learning new things. First we made a little recipe holder, I haven't finished mine yet but when I have I will be sure to post it up on here for you to see. I am also going to try making a bigger one for little note car sets.
Afterwards we tried distressing with Tim Holtz Distress inks - I have never used these before but had always wanted to try and now I am hooked. I have just been online and bought some more after my little shop on the day and am going to use the technique on my Brother and his fiancees wedding invitations. Here is the card I made.

This is the front of the card - I wish I had written down the name of this stamp it is gorgoeus (I remember it was expensive but thats all lol)

This is the first page - I used a stamp that Brenda brought in I love it, It is a penny black one - think I will have to try and get this one it is brilliant. This page was spritzed with glimmer mist. Yet another product which I now NEED :)
And this is the final page where the message can be written - I am giving this card to an old work friend who wanted a card made for a wedding. I think this will suit.

This is a close up of the roses. I made these using a flower punch. You can find the tutorial on Brenda from Floral Fantasies blog I am so chuffed with these I sm going to be making them all the time now.

I would like to say thank you to Brenda and Chris for their patience with my millions of questions (that are still coming lol) and to all of the ladies for making me feel so welcome. I hope we can all meet again soon.

Hi Amanda

You have photographed your project beautifully - it looks just as stunning here as it did at the workshop.

I don't know how you can bring yourself to part with it - it was truly gorgeous.

Your roses were gorgeous too. I cannot believe you had only just learnt how to make them and yet produced these great beauties.

Lovely work.

Love Jules xx

Your creation is absolutely beautiful! I didn't get to see it finished on Saturday. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. I'd been trying to remember what everyone's blogs were called so I could find you!

Hi Amanda

I can tell everyone that your booklet looks even better in the flesh, you did a fantastic job on it.

The stamp on the from is Hero Arts Wild Flowers, a cling set with two in it. One for your wish list.
