A gift for my brother

I decided to make a nice box for my brothers 18th Birthday present. I would have liked to have given him a better present but this month is extremely tight on money obviously with it having just been Christmas but not only that, on Sunday the clutch went on my car so I have now got it in the garage and it is going to cost us £230 to fix. I am going to make him a card to match which entitles him to a free drink or few :) once we have money again hahahahahahaha.

I made this box using my most favouritist present that Santa bought me :) my score pal, I have wanted one of these for so long now and I finally have one.

I made the box using patterned cardstock from K&Company. The image is one from DewDrop Craftz Digital image selection. I love this image it is perfect for male cards and gifts. The ribbon is from the pound shop - it is amazing the things you can find in those shops for crafting. The button is from a 99p shop too and was perfect for the colours on this box.

I used a tutorial on this blog - Kitty Franken - her tutorials are brilliant and if you want to watch her actually make the box you can she does them in English too how great is that.

I made computer generated sentiments for the outside for the box.

This is the top view of the box. I coloured the image with my new Copic Markers that Santa brought me :) I used my 3 new greys colours which are W3- W5 - W7, I used E35, E37 and E29 for the hair, the scarf and other Green areas were coloured with G5, G7 and G17, the shirt was E31 and E35, I used E21 and E00 for the skin and W5 and W7 for the headphones.
I also used my white Souffle pen to add in some highlights on the hair and clothing.

Here is a picture of the box and the items I put in it - this is what my brothers and sisters would call a 'good sipper' it means that the lip is curved so the drink flows more smoothly - honestly it makes a whole lot of difference :) Ha ha

I have amended some of the pictures on my sidebar to show some of my Christmas with my family. Hope you all had a great Christmas with yours. Wishing you a happy new year xx

I almost forgot, I am entering this box in to the following challenges;

Simon Says Stamp - Party

Some mini xmas cards for collegues at work

After making one of these size cards at the make and take that Steph organised last month i thought they owuld be perfect for giving to people at work. They are so quick to make and are small so use up less cardstock. Mind you saying that I have made 6 os far and have another 6 to make tonight plus a few extras just in case. Here are a few examples of the different designs I have been making.

A few of these cards are made using Forever freinds all wrapped up design paper and others are made using paper that i got in my goody bag at Stephs make and take. I am really please with how they turned out especially the bows as I used to be rubbish at those.

I am entering these cards as one in to the Sophisticat challenge for this week which is to make 'anything christmas'

And yet another Birthday card

This card is a complete copy of a card made on Stephs blog a few months back, I hope she doesn't mind. Steph sent me the image and this is the first time I have had chance to use it, it was a perfect image for the person the card is for. This is also the first time I have really used my yellow copics as the main colour on an image and i really like it so I think I may make another like this soon.

I am entering this card in to the Cupcake crafts challenge which is - 'A time for celebration'.

Apologies for the quality of the pictures, it is difficult to get the right light at the minute and whenever I use a side light I always get really bad shadows on the card.

Here is a close up of the image

I coloured her using copics and then used my white souffle pen to add in some highlights.

Plain yellow card - from stash

You knwo looking at this list it just shows how generous crafters are, especially Steph seeing as most of the things I used to make this card were made using products she has given me.

Another Birthday card

Good Afternoon Ladies, Here is another Birthday card I made this week. I made this using the sketch from Papertake Weekly. I hope I am not too late to enter it.

Here is the card I made using the sketch above. The image is from The Greeting Farms digital collection.

I used papers from Basic Gray but I am not sure which collection it was :( the flowers were a Christmas gift from Steph - her generosity never fails to amaze me. I will have to remember to takea picture of the box she sent it in tonight and post it on here. I used copics to colour in the image.

Two birthday cards

Afternoon Ladies hope you are well. I am so busy at the moment it is untrue but I have managed to get these two cards finished. I made them on Tuesday then yesterday we were at the hospital visiting my father in law, I will be making more tonight then we are at the Hospital again on Friday.

The cards are for two different people, I love this image I wanted one as soon as they cam out on the greeting farms digi section but I had to wait until I had sorted out my paypal account :)

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday to make both of these cards, I like making more than one card per sketch now, it seems to take a lot less time which is good at the minute as it is something I don't have a lot of.

Here is the first card. This is for my Father in law to give my sister in law for her birthday.

And here is a close up of the image, I coloured her with copics and used my white souffle pen to add highlights, I also added stickles to the wings to make them stand out.

Here is the second card using the same layout and image but for my sister to give to one of her friends for their Birthday.

And here is a close up of the image, again coloured with copics

A Birthday card for my Sister

I made this card for my sisters Birthday on the 08th December, photgraphed it, re-sized it and then completley forgot to post it ! What a wally.

Any how here it is now. I am entering this card in to the Creat4fun challenge which is to Make an Easel card. I love easel cards they are so fun and quick to make. The problem I have noticed though is that when you give them to someone it takes them a while to figure out what to do with them :)

I used paper that was in my goody bag from Steph's make and take a few weekends back, I can't beleive how much time has passed since then I swear this month is going uber fast. The Image is also one from Steph so I don't know who it is, If anyone reading this knows which company it is from please let me know so I can credit them.

Here is a close up of the image, I coloured her with my Copics and used my White Souffle pen to add in highlights.

I am also entering this card in to the Digital Tuesday Challenge which is to make a Birthday card.

Another Christmas Card

Here is the last of the Christmas cards I made using the Sunday Sketchers Sketch. I wanted to post this seperatly as I am entering this one in to the Just Magnolia Challenge which is 'Anything Chrisstmassy'. This is the first time I have entered this challenge so fingers crossed.

I stuggled with the colouring in on this one, next time I think I will look online for examples of colouring in to give me an idea of light and shaded areas etc. The papers used are from the Forever friends All wrapped up collection which I have used non stop this Christmas and will actually be able to use in to the new year as it is so versatile. The ribbon is from my stash and I tied the bow all by myself :) I am really please about that because a while ago a couldn't do that for toffee. My Magnolia is coloured with copic markers.

I am also entering this card in to the Creative Card crew Challenge which is 'Anything Goes'

A few cards using the same Sketch

Good Afternoon All. I made a few cards using the same sketch this week, it takes a lot less time as I am not hunting around for a sketch i like four 30 minutes before actually starting to do anything :) The sketch I followed is the Sunday Sketchers sketch :) this is shown below.

And here are two of the cards I have made using the sketch (I am putting the other in a seperate post)

I loved this sketch so simple yet really effective. Both cards were made using forever friends all wrapped up cardstock and also plain red cardstock from my stash. I ran my plain red cardstock through the cuttlebug to give it a bit more of an impact. Both images were coloured with copics, I am still learning with these I wish they did copic certification classes in the UK as if they did I would be first in line.

The first image is from CC Designs isn't he sweet and perfect for those male christmas cards.
The second I received in a swap so I am not sure who she is by but if anyone knows please let me know as I would love to get her for next Christmas.

I made both these cards for my mum to give out this Christmas took them over last night and she really like them :)

I am entering these cards in to;

Sunday Sketchers - Sketch
Our Creative Corner - Holiday Theme
Crafty Calender challenge - Winter sparkle - there is sparkle on the fur trim :)
Cute card Thursday - Using beads on your projects

Fingers crossed I might win one - I haven't ever won a challenge before :( I know - worls smallest violin LOL

Little Christmas Boxes

Well after the Make and take day at Stephs I couldn't resist buying the template for the little boxes we made by Lauren Meader. She is opening her new shop in Jan I am so excited to see what new things she comes out with.

Here are the two little boxes I made - I am going to fill them with Thorntons Chocolates for Christmas.

I am going to enter these in to the Creative Card Crew Challenge which is 'Christmas'

Side Step Christmas Card

Hi Ladies, Here is a Christmas card I made using a tutorial on the Whiff of joy blog Here  it was really easy to do and I love the effect, think I will make a few more like this. This particular one is for my little Niece on her first Christmas :)

I made this card using a digi image but I can't remember off the top of my head who it is by. The paper is from the Forever Friends all wrapped up collection which I am so glad I bought as I have used it sooooo much on my Christmas cards this year. I also used stickles on the hats to make them stand out a bit - you can't really see that in these pictures, I am really struggeling to get good light these days.

I am entering this card in to three challenges. The first is The pink elephant where the challenge there is to use your favourite colouring medium - no problems there I used my Copics to colour in these cute reindeer.

The second challenge is Stamp with ifun where the challenge there is Christmas, no problems there either this is a Christmas card :)

The Third is Digital Tuesday Challenge which is Christmas sparkle. Well I have used Stickles on the Santa hats and it is a Christmas card so it passes :)
