A Birthday card for a sweet 16

Here is a Birthday card I made for a friends at works daughter. She turned 16 on Saturday and was having a massive party to celebrate. This was rustled up in 30 minutes, I was meant to be packing up to go to bed oops :)

I am entering this card in to the Creative Card crew challenge which is to use your favourite things, well thats easy I love everything to do with crafting, i particularly love flowers and gems though, I really need to get some more - hmmmmm i hear the craft store calling.

Card Recipe

Flowers from Steph - I know i have loads of bits from Steph she is a gem

The cards we made at the make and take

I have to say yesterday was ABSOLOUTLY BRILLIANT. Me and Fi whent along to Stephs make and take up in Dunmow Essex. We had so much fun, it was great to meet all the other crafters and try out some new things, I have to say though my Christmas wish list is now a mile long there were so many brilliant punches and papers and stamps and..........................

I know your probably bored of me saying it but I have to apologise for the picture quality I didn't catch the day light so they all look rubbish.

I really liked this one, the tree was made out of 3 stamps, one for the tree itself, one for the trunk and one for the baubles which is pretty cool so you can make the baubles match the cardstock.

This one also had a matching box to go with it but it is too dark to take a picture now so I will add one tommorrow.

I love this one so simple and yet really beautiful.

Steph is an incredible and generous woman, she is so bubbly and a brilliant crafter, thank you for a brilliant day Steph can't wait for the next one ;) wink Also thanks to Kate and Aimes and Caryn who helped Steph prepare and helped us all on the day.

Here are a few pics from the day

Happy Santa

How cool is this image - you gotta love it - I followed the Friday sketchers sketch for this one - I should probable make a few cards with one sketch but I never seem to be able to - always want to try different ones. I acually found this one difficult - it may just be because I was tring to put it together att 1130 pm :)

Here is what I did with the sketch. I used papers from the Forever friends Christmas collection. The image was coloured with copics, I then added lots of little dots of liquid pearl to make it look like it is snowing, I wasn't sure how it would turn out and was a bit nervous as it took me a while to colour but I think it turned out well. I have also added some clear stickles to Santa's hat to make it

I am also entering this card in to Paper take weekly where the theme is Christmas :) I think this one fits for sure

Another Christmas card

Here is another Christmas card I have made for my Dad. I love these images they are so sweet. To make this card I followed a sketch on Get Sketchy which is shown below.

I rotated the sketch to make my card. Again sorry for the poor picture quality it is dark over here now and my flash seems to spoil the picture. I have no idea what this card stock is called I bought it off the market last year some time.

My entry to Stamp with fun

I really should post these cards when I make them and not days later - slapped wrist - here is a card I made for my dad to give to one of his Sisters for Christmas. I used the sketch from Papertake weekly shown below

I am not sure who the image is by as it was given to me by Steph, if any one knows please can you let me know so I can credit the company. I used papers from the Forever friends Christmas collection and ran some blue cardstock through the Cuttlebug for the background. The image was coloured with Copics but rather than colouring the darkest colour first I have tried colouring the lighter colour and then going darker, I really like how it turned out.

Once again apologies for the picture quality i will take a better picture in daylight, problem is when I leave in the morning it is dark and when I get home it is dark grrrr

We had so much fun it all whent to fast, I could have easily stayed for another 4 hours lol. I will post the cards we made later on. I think I may have to take my pictures again the lighting is awful so apologies for the one below.

Here is the sketch I followed for the card. I rotated it to fit my image. I really liked this one.

And here is what I did with it. The papers I used are from Basic Gray's Wassail collection. I also used some of the card stock steph gave us in our fab goody bags yesterday - she really is an amazing woman.

The background paper was just plain green but I stamped it all over with little silver snowflakes to make it look more Christmassy :) The image is from CC Designs, I love these images going to be sad when Christmas is over and I have to put them away for a year :(

Here is a close up of the image, coloured with copics, there is some stickles at the bottom to make the snow sparkly and I added Liquid pearls to her wings to make them stand out although i did get a bit mesy with that, must remember to put some on paper first and then put it on the image grrrrr

A greeting farm christmas card

Hello Ladies I hope you are well. Here is another Christmas card I made using one of the new Digi's from the Greeting farm, I was hoping to enter it in to the Greeting farms guest DT challenge but I was too late :( I wanted to share it with you anyway though and am entering it in to the Digital Tuesday Challenge which is to make a card to send Holiday Wishes and also this weeks Charisma cards challenge which is Merry and Bright.

How cute are these two, I have to say once I had coloured it in I was really nervous about cutting it but i think it turned out well, I made this using a sketch from another challenge but I can't remember which one now and I think I am too late to enter it.

I coloured the image with copics here is a close up;

Again I used the snow writer for the snow it gives it a lovely 3D glittery effect, it doesn't show up in the pictures but it does look good honest :)

I also decorated the inside on this card

The papers I used are Basic Gray Wassail which are just beautiful I love all the Basic Gray papers they can't seem to go wrong.

An acetate Christmas card

I have tried something different this week. I thought I would make an acetate front Christmas card. I embossed the snowflakes on the front of the acetate - I must remember next time to be more careful with the heat gun as acetate doesn't seem to like it very much.

The Image is from the greeting farm, I used some glistening snow writer on her outfit i don't know that you can see it very well on here but it looks really good in person :) I coloured her with copics and mounted her on to Silver Miri card.
The Ribbon was wrapped around some pajamas I got for Christmas last year. I knew it would come in usefull :)

Here is a close up of the image
