A card made using my NEW lili of the valley stamp

Good Afternoon ladies I hope you are well. This is just a quick post as we are expecting guests for dinner soon :) I am so excited I finally bought my first Lili of the valley stamp, I had to wait patiently for the EZ Mount to arrive so I could mount it, I have now mounted all my other stamps too, I had tried using some DST but that really wasn't working so I had found myself neglecting my stamps and that is not on :)

Any how I used the sketch on the lili of the valley challenge blog to make this card. The sketch is shown below;

Here is what I did with the sketch, I used K&Co papers I love these ones they are 12x12 so on my little cards they do go far I just need to buy more. I coloured my Lili of the valley image with my copic markers. I love the effect of the ribbon going through the netting (brain freeze can remember what the actual name is) i saw this on someone elses blog and loved it so thought i might give it a go I think I am hooked. (ps i would say whos blog i saw it on but I cant for the life of me remember)

The buttons were from my stash, the brad is from papermania.
I am entering this card in to the following challenges;

Lili of the valley - Sketch
Incy Wincy Designs - Buttons, bows ribbons and lace (I don't have a bow but I hope this still counts)

Entry to CHA Relay day 2 and Sketch Saturday

Good Morning Ladies, Hope you are all well. I am really tired today I was up later than I wanted making this card but everything kept going wrong, does anyone else have problems with punching through card with the martha stewart craft punches? mine kept sticking so I gave up in the end.

I followed the sketch shown below from sketch Saturday to make this card using the 2nd free digi from The Greeting farms digi relay. Go to the Greeting farm blog to check out the rules, I think there is still time to enter (up until 6pm cst which is 00:00 UK)

Here is the card I made using the sketch and the free digi

The papers I used are by Basic Gray, I am running out of all the backing card etc so think I will have to invest in some more bye bye bank balance lol. The image is coloured with copics and the ribbon/netting is from Quixotic cards, I love this stuff.
This is one of my cards that will go in a box to be ready for someones birthday, I need to get a stock made up as my brother and his fiancee have just moved their wedding forward a year and I now need to start making all their save the dates and then when I get back from my hols in May I need to start making their wedding invitations and table plan so it is going to be a busy year for me this year, worth it though. I promise to show you some of them when they are done.

And here is my interpretation

I used my new Anya stamp so excited to have this one yaaay. I cant remember who the papers are by I received them from a friend for Christmas.  The ribbon was bought from Malaysia on ebay such great deals on there for ribbons. The little brads were sent to me with the stamp which I also won on ebay.  I coloured the image using my Copic markers :)

The Greeting Farm CHA relay day 1

Hello ladies and welcome to my blog this evening. I am posting two projects tonight so keep an eye out for the next one. I made this calendar page using the first free Digi from The greeting farms first digi relay - if you want to enter and get this free digi hop along HERE.

I did start using a sketch for this page but it was too small a page to fit the sketch on with the image I wanted to use.

I coloured this gorgeous image using my copic markers. It took me aaaaaages to figure out how to make it so that the tail was outside of the nestabilities frame, I am still trying to perfect it as I always seem to get a line across the bit that is outside of the frame and havent worked out how to emboss it like this yet either. If you too want to do this you can find tutorials Here and Here  I have to say a big thank you to Bev who pointed me in the right direction.

My DP is basic gray, I also used my cuttlebug and bubles folder on the green cardstock in the background.
My brads are from papermania and the little gems were bought on ebay from Malaysia.

I am entering this card in to the CHA relay 1 for the greeting farm (to get the next free digi you have to make a card or project using this one before the deadline)
A spoonfull of sugar - which is lots of layering
Simon says stamp - Punch it
Creative card crew - punch it

A quick thank you card

Hello Ladies hope you are all well. Here is a quick card I made last night for my father in law to give to the Nurses and doctors on his ward. He should be out of hospital tommorrow :)

I didn't use a sketch for this one - I know ' Shock Horror' I was following the forever friends challenge which was to make a quick and easy card and also the Crafty angels cards which was a similar challenge.

The papers I have used are DCVW which were given to me by Steph in my Goodbag at the Make and take. The image is of course forever friends - i love this image it is perfect for thank you cards and birthdays and is so quick to colour so perfect for those cards that need done fast. The sentment is from my See D's thank you set and the flower and brad are from my stash.

To colour the bear I used E00 and E21 (I usually also use E000 but it has run out) for the flowers I used R29 only, the stems were G17 and the little yellow bits were Y17 I also used R20 for the blush on the cheeks.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges
Forever friends - Quick and Simple
Crafty Angels - Keep it Simple

Thank you for taking hte time to look today xx

My DT card for DewDrop Craftz challenge

Good Morning ladies.

This is my DT card for this month DewDrop Craftz challenge. The challenge this week is to use green and Lilac. I used a sketch from CPS card sketches which is shown below.

What a great sketch again another one I really enjoyed, beginning to sound like a broken record here haha.

I used basic gray papers but I can't remember which set they are from, I love basic gray the quality is incredible. The image is a DewDrop Craftz image and can be purchased here. I coloured her with copic markers. I love this image because no matter how many times you use it you never get the same look as you can colour pretty much everything on it.

I used my score pal to create the striped effect in the backgrounf - I had seen this on another card a while ago and really wanted to give it a try. I think it is quite effective. I also used my new Martha Stewart edge punch on the DP which looks great against the black bacground. The ribbon is from Quixotic cards and crafts, I cant reccommend them enough they were so quick posting this out to me, I really like it think I need to get some more in different colours now :)

Anyhow don't forget to hop along  and join in the challenge at DewDrop Craftz.

I am entering this card in to

The flowers were a christmas present from steph and the brad is from Papermania. The image is coloured with copics, not sure about the hair think I will make it a bit darker next time.

Here is a view of it opened up with the yummy thorntons chocolates inside

I love these little boxes - there was more chocolates in here but he had eaten some when i took this picture honest :)
The box was made using my new most favouritist toy my score pal :) I love this thing
The papers are again DCVW which were given in our goody bags at Stephs make and take. I am not sure who the candle image is buy, it is a wooden mounted stamp I have had for ages, this is only the second time I have used it actually.

A huuuge blog candy

Good Evening ladies, this post is not to share a card simply to share some info on a massive blog candy which is coming up. Please read below :)

On the 1st February there will be a very special ‘One Off Challenge’………with some rather special candy as the main prize. No ordinary candy I can tell you, but a really serious piece of equipment that all of us would love to have in our craft rooms.

As well as the main challenge prize, there will be runners up prizes and a Blog Hop with prizes to be won at each stopping point. And I will also be sharing details of the wonderful sponsors of this challenge and some exciting news about them as well.

I just know you will all want to get involved and join in so here’s what you need to do now:

1) Give the challenge a plug on your own blog.

2) Add the logo above with a link back here to your sidebar.

3) Leave her a comment on her post to tell her you have done that so she can enter you into the prize draw for this first part of the challenge.......the winner of that prize will be drawn by Random Org on 31st January.

March calendar page

Ok so I think this will be the last one for today. This is my March calendar page, I used the sketch from the all that scraps wednesday challenge blog. They have a sketch this week which is shown below.

Here is my take on the sketch, I hope it is ok that my image is in front of my circle the card wasn't big enough to cut a circle around the image.

The papers are Bloom and Grow by My minds eye, I received them from my friend Fi for Christmas. The image is also a Digi image from all that scraps and is coloured once again with copic markers. I had a little trouble with the Orange bleeding out but  think i managed to fix it, goodness knows what I would do with out my colourless blender.

I am entering this card in to the All that scraps challenge for this week

Februarys calendar page

Wow I have been busy today :) Here is the page I made for Februarys calendar page. I think I may have messed up a bit here putting the roses on though I am not sure it will be ok when I put the pages on the calendar itself but fingers crossed.

I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday for this one and also followed the colour challenge on the ' Whiff of joy' challenge blog which was Aqua and red.

This is the sketch I used

and here is what I did with it

I have been wanting to use this image for aaages now i received her in a stamped image swap a long time ago and finally got her coloured up with my copics. This is the first time I have coloured black hair, I think it whent ok :)  I also used my new hearts border punch which i love.

Small gift boxes

Today i wanted to show you two small gift boxes I made for my little sisters. They will hold some lipglosses and nail varnishes as a 'just because' present :) The image I have used is one from the DewDrop craftz range of digital images. I love these little images they are so sweet.

I made two but they are actually the same so I have chosen the best picture of one of them. The box is made using a FREE template from My time made easy, a new range from Lauren Meader which can be found here

I coloured the image using copic markers and mounted her on to pink card stock. I used backing paper from Basic gray on the front and back of the box but have left the sides white (mainly because i ran out of cardstock:(

I am entering this in to the Kaboodle Doodles challenge which is anything but a card.
and also Our creative corner - 3D challenge

The first page of my calendar

Good Morning all I hope you are all well.
I decided to make a desk calendar for work a few days ago and have now made the frame and printed out all of the pages for the months. This was a free download which I found Here along with instructions on what to do. I made my first page using a sketch on Truly Scrumptious the sketch is show below;

I had to alter the sketch slightly as I accidentally put the image on the wrong way around and then added the embelies before I realised ooopps

Here is my take on the sketch - The image is from the greeting farms digi image selection, I coloured this with copics cut her out and mounted her on to a circle cut with my X Cutter tool.

I used paper by Dovecraft called Wild Blossom. I don't tend to use these papers much as they are quite in your face but I thought they whent well with this sketch and the image.
There was also a colour challenge linked to the sketch which was to use inspiration from the image below;

I am also entering this card in to cupcake crafts challenge where the theme is 'Going Girly'
and Stampin for the weekend where the them is 'something new' I am making a calendar for the new year so I hope it fits

Another Birthday card for my Aunt

This is the card I have made from me and my Husband to send to My Auntie Audrey, it's her birthday on Tuesday so I hope it arrives on time.

I followed a sketch on Sunday Sketchers for this one which is shown below.

I used the lemonade paper pad from Basic grey which I am fast running out of for this card. The image is a Sarah Kay one ok so it is meant to be for Christmas but I loved this one and it is perfect for my Auntie. The little butterfly charms I used are ones I was given for Christmas so I am not sure where they are from. I bought the gems on a trip to hobbeycraft they are by Papermania.

I coloured the image with Copic markers as usual :) I edged the image using black ink i think this finishes it off really nicely.

Here is a close up of the image

Sorry for the darkness of the images it isn't very light here at the moment and when i try and use a lamp it creates loads of shadows :(

I tried to make it a little bit more simple I always struggle with that though I can't help adding bits lol.

I followed a sketch on Sketch and Stash which is shown below;

And here is the card I made

I used some new paper that I received for Christmas and added some stickles glitter glue to it to make it 'pop'. The image is of course a forever friends image which I coloured with Copic markers. The sentiments were stamped but I can't for the life of me remember which set I used other than that it is a new one.

I am entering this card in to the Sketch and Stas challenge - I used the sketch

A Notebook for work for 2010

Here goes the millions of times I write 2009 and then have to scribble it out and write 2010 instead. I don't know about you guys but my workbooks are always neat and tidy I hate them being all messy with things scribbled out.

I decided to alter a notebook to use for when I started the new year at work as otherwise I just have a plain old boring notebook to use. Here is what I made;

I love it and it has gone down well with my collegues at work too :)

I also made a tissue box

I made this using my score pal. The paper was a gift from my mum at Christmas which I reinforced with cardboard inside. I cut the hole in the top using my oval X Cutter. I was going to put an image on this but I decided it looked nice all simple with little glittery bits added on to the flowers. You can see those much better close up.

I am entering these in to the following challenges;

By the Cute and Girly - New (These are for a new year at work and I used my new score pal to make the box)
Papertake Weekly - New Beginnings
Everybody Art - Favourite colour combo (my new fave is yellow I made one other card with this before xmas and loved it)
Crafty Creations - There is glitter on my tissue box

A gift box

Good Evening ladies I hope you are all well. I have been busy today making things on my new score pal :) It's brilliant I love it. Here is a gift box I made using the wine tote tutorial on the Score Pal website. I was planning on using it for taking wine to our friends house but the tote was to small for a normal size bottle of wine so I am keeping this for another gift I am sure it will come in usefull.

 The cardstock I used is from K&Co, it is double sided so the inside of the box looks nice too. The ribbon was actually originally attached to a box of chocolates i received from a work colleague at Christmas. The image is a forever friends stamped image which I coloured with Copic Markers. My wonderful Husband bought me some more for Christmas as some had started to run out and I couldn't afford re fills for them right away. On the top of the box I have attached a small Daisy which I think goes really well with the cardstock.

I am entering this box in to two challenges.

Our Creative corner - Clean and Simple
Stamp Something - New somethings (I used my new Score Pal)
