My first Christmas card

Thats right - this is my first christmas card of the year - i really  needed to have started earlier but i had an order for 100 invitations that needed finished and i have loads of birthday cards still too do. Better get a move on really. I have about 50 cards to make for woodgreen this year - I am sending them to sell in their shops - they keep all the profit so they can sell at whatever cost they like - sort of like my christmas present to the animals if you like :)

Any how here is the card I made using the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges - I just love this new challenge blog it has some great sketches. The image is by Mo Maurie Manning and is a digital image - she has loads of these gorgeous digis right Here - instant gratification I love digi images - I dont think my bank balance does though.

Here is a close up of the image - i coloured it using copic markers and have used stickles on the fur bits of the hats.

Here is the sketch I followed - pop along to Crazy 4 Challenges if you would like to play too.

I really like the sketch this week and actually used it on two cards so I am posting them both here so just a warning that this is a long old post.

The first card i made for my friend Tracey it is her
birthday in October so thought i would get it ready now -
Plus I couldn't wait to use this image that fell in my online shopping basket the other day :) she is from all that scraps there are so many i want to get from this store they are so cute. As always i coloured this card using copic marker and this time i used my new Sakura Souffle pen for the highlights - still getting used to this so hopefully they will improve in time.

This is a close up of the image - isn't she so cute. I also decorated the inside of the card which is shown below.

A wedding anniversary card

Hello ladies - here is a card i made for my brother and sister in law. It is their 3 year wedding anniversary on Wednesday. I did decorate the inside of the card but i forgot to take a picture of it before i wrote in it oops :)

There is a new challenge blog starting

(Text taken from spotlight divas blog linked below)

Every week I will post a challenge based on the "hidden potential" idea and the Spotlight Divas will show you their talented versions of it.

Every THIRD week of the month, I will be adding a fun tutorial for anyone to try out. The design team does not need to post creations for this as my tutorial will have lots of pictures and a finished project sample to look at.

As mentioned in the sidebar of this blog, there are NO vendor restrictions, but just YOUR interpretation of the challenge at hand.

Go here for more info

They are also offering a blog candy for the grand opening -

My entry for Sketch and Stash

Afternoon Ladies (and gents if there are any out there :) Here is the card I made for this weeks Sketch and Stash challenge. This is the first time I have entered this challenge - i couldn't resist the sketch it was perfect for what I wanted to do. I have added a few bits that aren't on the sketch though I hope this is ok?

The papers I used are from the lemonade Basic Gray paper pack - I love basic gray papers can't get enough of them - was talking ot my husband last night and he said it's a shame there isn't an option on the websites to enable you to put together your own paper books :) I coloured the image using copics. I have no idea what the ribbon stuff is called i got it from Steph from Stamping and sharing I must remember to ask her.

This is a close up of dressed up Anya - I love this stamp - another stamped image I was lucky enough to receive in the post - I can't wait to have some money to buy this set of stamps. I used glitter on the skirt and hat - I think you can just about see it in this picture. Also in the corners of the picture i attached little gems i think it finished it off nicely.
Below is a picture showing the dimensions of the card. I really enjoyed making this one - had a slight hiccup where i put a piece of paper on wonky but i don't think you can notice it too much now which is good :)

Entry to three challenges

Hello :) I have just finished this card which I am entering in to the Copic Buzz challenge this week, I will also be entering it in to cute card thursday and Sunday sketch and stamp.

The challenge for Copic Buzz was to make a card using this image which was provided for free by Nikki at DewDrop crafts (we could use any image from her store if we already had one) and make it Glitzy and glittery - i don't know if you can see it very well in these pictures but I have added glitter to her dress and shoes using pink stickles :).
The second challenge i have entered this for is Cute card Thursday - the challenge this week was to use the colours pink and green - easy I used my new papers from Basic Gray that I won in a blog candy - I love basic gray papers they are such great quality. Ok so then I also entered it in to Sunday sketchers using the sketch provided - my image was a lot bigger than the one on the sketch but I am hoping that is ok.
